Dear Rohingya brothers and sisters, We, the Rohingya Christian community, would like to express our anguish regarding a person, namely Abdul Amin a.k.a. Anees Khan. He resides in Camp Hakim Fara.
In January 2020, an extremist group attacked Rohingya Christians in Kutupalong; Abdul Amin was also involved in that attack. In the attack, one Christian school, one church, and many houses were demolished, and many individuals were injured, and two individuals were kidnapped; still, we didn't get their bodies.
Due to that attack, Rohingya Christian had to leave Kuthupalong camp and reside in a transit camp. He has been inciting Rohingya Muslim youth and leaders to destroy Rohingya Christians. During nighttime he teaches karate to the youths, and during daytime he teaches in school.
He runs a Facebook page known as Language Learner. And through this page he spread false information and accusations against Rohingya Christians and incited our Rohingya Muslim brothers and leaders to attack the Rohingya Christian minority.
Therefore, we would like to humbly request Bangladesh camp's authorities to take prompt action on him in order to save the Rohingya Christians in camps. And also, we would like to request Camp 13's CiC to take prompt action on him for spreading hatred and false accusations regarding the Rohingya Christian minority.
Thank you!
Rohingya Christian Community
